cinda.. we are going mid May.. we simply read all the reviews for like the top 20 hotels in Naxos town and then chose the one that met our needs pricewise etc.. suggest you do that also..I have booked hotels all over Europe and America this way.. but you do have to read reviews carefully to see which aspects matter to you personally..
We chose the Kymata hotel ourselves because of the lovely roof top open patio off the two deluxe rooms. I did however see a few other hotels I was totally interested in.. and emailed a few.. they seem so nice.. always got right back to me..
Look at tripadvisor.com naxos hotel reviews. . .look at the "Travellers" photos too.. that's my favorite part.. photos actual visitors have taken not the glossy professional ones ..

My colleague stayed cheaply and happily last year at www.naxosmargo.com, but she also suggested checking places closer to the beach, as prices could be negotiable.

My husband and I were in Naxos June, 2015. We stayed at a small new hotel called Naxos Dreams. Very nice room and 100 feet from Agios Georgios beach. It is about a 10 minute walk into the town center.

just got back from our vacation!!

Hotel Kymata was best stay of the month.. the rooms were not large.. but clean, comfy and staff were simply amazing. Good homemade breakfasts each day.. always one new dish featured..

We rented two rooms.. one rooftop terrace room.. 115 euros.. this room can sleep four. has an ante room with two single beds in it.. or couches.. and a main bedroom with four poster bed.. both rooms had tvs.
Small but efficient bathroom. Mini Fridge , good ac.

HUGE roof top deck , shared with one other suite but so large you are not on top of each other. Amazing breathtaking 180 degree or more views..

Our kids had a standard room, small balcony with sea views, comfy and clean .. good ac and they also had a mini fridge. they paid 45 euros a night.. that included breakfast too..

3-4 minute walk to beach.. its right there.. 5 minutes to town..

This hotel is family owned and run.. and it is obvious in the way they treat you! Vasili, Maki and Akathi are the sweetest folks ever.. not kidding..

I strongly recommend this hotel with one caveat. No elevator.. but top floor is only 3 stories..

PS Nice brand new shower bathroom off lobby for those who have late flights or ferries and want to spend last day at beach.

Those prices sound too good to be true! It's been a long since I'vebeen to Naxos - can't wait to go again.

This is too late for you, Cinda, but for others who may be looking ... I can highly recommend Studios Kalergis, on St. George Beach. Actually right ON the beach. We had a ground-floor studio, with a private patio, so it was maybe 20 steps to the sand. Absolutely lovely. They also have upper-level studios with balconies and sea view, but we loved being right on the sand.

We were there May 12-19, 2016. Cost was 60 euros a night, with no breakfast. We had a kitchenette, so we'd stock up on yogurt and fruit, and walk down the street to the bakery for croissants and coffee, then eat on our patio. We had a large (king-size?) bed, which is rare in Greece. Helpful staff at the hotel. Free sunbeds in front of the snack bar next door, although they may charge or require a purchase later in the season.
