Wife and I stayed there (corner of Mitropoleos and Nikis streets) in late May. It is clean, comfortable, conveniently located close to the Plaka and a metro station, inexpensive (total $229 for three nights), and has a great breakfast buffet. Last time I was in Greece was 15+ years ago, and the breakfasts then were instant coffee and rolls. This time the breakfast buffet made it easy to skip lunch! Also, the staff were very nice and helpful, and spoke excellent English. This will be our go-to now for visiting Athens.
