Dinner in Olympia

In his guide book for Greece, Rick says there are no good restaurants in Olympia, and recommends going outside the town for a good meal. I beg to differ. My husband and I were in Santorini, Mykonis, Athens, and half a dozen different towns on the Peloponnese peninsula over the course of about 2 1/2 weeks, and our very best meal was in Olympia, at a restaurant that the woman who runs Hotel Pelops in Olympia referred to as "Likey's [rhymes with "Mikey's] Place." She may have referred to it that way because the name in Greek is so hard to pronounce. But apparently everyone in Olympia knows it as "Likey's Place." If you're not a vegetarian or vegan, you should give it a try and order the grilled veal steaks and fries, which were absolutely delicious.
