Will be in Crete for about ten days during January and Delphi for one overnight. Mid price lodging is fine. No need for TV or entertainment. Prefer lovely setting, comfy bed, dependable heat, and good people. What have you loved? Where would you go again? Thanks for recommendations.

In Delphi, we stayed at Pithos Rooms. The owners could not be nicer. TThe room was a decent size; bed, good. The breakfast was fresh and had several choices. Can't say anything about heat. We were there in May.
We liked the Delphi Palace Hotel, on the hillside above the main street, spectacular views over the valley to the Gulf, a short walk to various restaurants and shopping, nice breakfast. The rooms were small, most had a view, heat was good (it was October). No elevator but the stairs weren't steep. Friendly helpful staff. Not sure they're open in winter, though someplace must be. A nearby town is a ski destination.
