My son & I reserved 2 rooms at this hotel for 2 nights & found Rick's comment about it being "a little old-fashioned" to be true. In addition I noted the walls were so thin my son could hear me zipping suitcases from his room which was next to mine. Mattress was very hard so much so that lying on my side caused my hip to hurt. I learned to fix my own toilet when it continued to run after flushing because after calling the desk for help twice I asked the young man to show me what to do if it continued. He demonstrated & I did need to use his advice several times. After spending 19 days in Greece this is the only hotel I found fault with.
On the positive side we found a great restaurant in Athens, very near the Agora. *A little Taste of Home Restaurant***Astiggos 8, Monastiraki was a wonderful treat. Their menu is a global food journey with dishes full of history & stories. I ordered beef short ribs which had been cooked for 9 hours & came with a sauce flavored with honey that was to die for. My son ordered lamb cooked for 5 hours & he enjoyed his choice as well. Andreas was our charming waiter from the island of Crete. We consider this restaurant a true find.
