We recently visited Athens and had very little time so we decided to hire a guide from Rick's Greece, Athens and Peloponnese book. We chose Faye Georgiou and were very pleased. It was a full day and included the Acropolis museum and the Acropolis as well as a trip down to Cape Sounion for dinner at a small restaurant on the beach and a tour of the temple of Poseidon at sunset.
At the Acropolis museum Faye gave us a wonderful introduction to the buildings and history of the Acropolis as well as excellent historical insight into the politics, religion and customs of the time. Sunset at the Temple of Poseidon was beautiful. If you are looking for a good guide in Athens we highly recommend Faye.

Thank you for posting this! She was our Athens guide on our RS Greece tour and I was absolutely enthralled. I still remember the lessons I learned from her, but wasn't positive about her last name. I will save this and it will be nice for others who need a guide in the future.
