I will be travelling by car from Berchestesgaden to Fussen on 6/23 and hope to stop at Zugspitze. Important stop for my 16 year old grandchild.. We booked an apartment for 2 nights in Fussen, and have a reservation for Neuschwanstein on 6/24 at 9:55, Should I try to change this?

Depends on what your grandchild wants to do? It's less than 2 1/2 hr drive to GP, so you could be there by mid to late morning, depending on how early you leave. And the drive to Fussen is less than an hour.

Are you going to Zugspitze? The fastest route from Berchtesgaden to Füssen takes 4h. If you stop in Garmish-Partenkirchen it will take 3h 15m from Berchtesgaden and 1h 15m from Garmish-Partenkirchen to Füssen meaing you have to go out of your way.
I wouldn’t visit Garmish-Partenkirchen unless I was visiting Zugspitze and why would you change your reservation at Neuschwanstein?
