Husband and I are in Berlin several days before our tour begins and would like to visit Martin Luther area, Wittenberg, for a day trip. We are senior citizens so need to easiest way to enjoy that town for a day. The day we would like to visit is Thursday, May 7, 2026.
I thought we might be able to have a tour begin in Berlin that included the train or bus rideto Wittenberg, but do not see anything that is reasonably priced. In the past we have used Get Your Guide or Viator for day trips but see nothing that starts from Berlin. I see tours that begin in Wittenberg but one must travel there on their own.
Suggestions?
Thanks
It is easier to take the direct train from Berlin (ICE train ~45 minutes) and back by yourself and to get the guide in Wittenberg only.

In 2014 I did exactly that, ie take the ICE dep. Berlin Hbf to Lutherstadt Wittenberg, as a day excursion and the first stop of that ICE line.
I was asked by the DB personnel if my destination was Leipzig (no, not this time) as Leipzig was the 2nd stop.
