Going to Berlin in March, going to Wittenberg for day trip. Read lots about Luther but nothing about Faust information in Wittenberg. Is there anything there about Faust?
Weimar, the home of author Goethe for many years, may have more about his version of the story; try looking around the Tourist Office web page.
Hi,
Between the two I liked Weimar as a town much better, aside from the famous Goethe and Schiller statue am Theaterplatz, there are others... all connected with German literature.
You might consider Leipzig. It is an awesome city to visit, with plenty to see for a stay of a day or two. As for Faust, you could have either lunch or dinner at Auerbach's Keller, a restaurant that is featured as one on the primary scenes in Faust. A great, and fairly inexpensive eatery, BTW.
