I have a 2018 copy of RS Germany which indicates a wine road at Staufen on a map on page 294. I have been unable to find any info on it. We will be spending time in the Colmar area this summer and would like to cross the river into Germany for a few day trips.
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
Maybe Die Badische Weinstraße? We stopped in this area on our way to and from Switzerland this past June for overnights to break-up the drive. You can use the translate button top left for English on the website.

If you pull up Staufen on Google maps, there is a road that leaves the city to the south. The road (L125) starts off as Grunerner Str., then becomes Ballrechter Str., and then turns into Weinstraße, with many many wineries clustered along the sides. You might have to keep zooming in to see all the wineries.
Staufen is on the Baden Wine Route. We've been a bit further south, but slightly east in the Munstertal Valley. It's one of the few wine regions where you can find Gutedel, an old grape variety which produces a light, very dry wine which is easy to drink (the one we tried, anyway). And there are many wineries which don't show up on Google Maps. Not all are open for samplings, but some are and even have taverns attached where you can grab a bite to eat as well.
Staufen itself is a lovely little village, with a castle ruin and a few trails beyond. If you are spending more than one day in the area, a relaxing time can be had by parking the car at the Bad Krozingen train station – there's a very pleasant walk from here along a creek to Staufen and beyond to Munstertal. In Munstertal is St. Trudpert Kloster, a scenic spot with gardens and a nice cemetery. The world would be a better place if more boys were named Trudpert nowadays.
Good information. Thanks to all!

Back in December 2019 we visited Staufen for a late breakfast followed by a wine tasting. Beautiful little village well worth the stop! I don't recall any real wine route nearby other than the Alsace Route du Vin over in France.
