I understand that Germany will be facing a fuel shortage this winter. Has anyone been to Germany recently and knows how the impending shortage impacts travel to Germany? We are flying to Frankfurt and renting a car Sept 14 through 28, 2022. We are staying in Cochem, Germany for the duration with planned trips to nearby towns of interest such as Trier. We will mostly use trains or boats for transportation, but will use the car for a few other day trips.
Generally, when speaking of the 'gas crisis' in Germany, it is in reference to natural gas, not gasoline
From comments seen on the forum, automobile fuel, diesel or gasoline, is around $8 gallon ( after doing the conversions).
Not seen any comments about shortages, (so far)
OK, thanks for the information.
