Wiesleth, Baden, Germany

There's a small village called "Wieslet" near the Swiss border around Basel. This region was part of the former Grand Duchy of Baden, so it could be the one you're looking for. I know absolutely nothing of the village, but I've driven near by a few times. Let me guess, is this part of ancestor research?

A relative is saying Wiesleth is in Black Forest where family originated. I will look at Wieslet as an option..it would make sense being only 80 miles from Oberdiessbach where I know many relatives are from.

Wieslet sits in the southern edge of the Black Forest, so it appears it is one and the same as "Wiesleth". I suspect that if your relative is using old family records, and this is probably an archaic spelling from before the German spelling reform of the mid 20th century.
