will arrive in Munich on Wednesday Sept.30.. the next two days will be a city day with Oktoberfest involved and a day trip out to N'stein/H'schwangau.. so a Thursday and a Friday on the last weekend of Oktoberfest. Any suggestions on which to do when to avoid the worst crowds for both? Is such a thing possible?

Also, side question - the 3 day City Tour card should be best for transit, I believe.. the group rate for M zone seems to hit 10 single tickets on the nose (price has gone up past RS's Pocket Munich guide and we will be based too far away from the centre for short ride tickets), so for two of us, I'm sure we will make more than 5 rides each over those days. But it mentions the card has "Partners" and so on, but doesn't mention if that's a discount or something free, like admissions to things, etc. Any experience?

Go to Oktoberfest on Thursday and the castles on Friday. Locals who have to work on Friday are less likely to be out on Thursday night, but it's every bit as fun.
