Where to stay with Kids

We are renting a car in Paris, heading to Brussels, the Netherlands, and have three nights to spend somewhere between Rotterdam, The Netherlands and Strasbourg, France in April. We have a 4 and 6 year old and they want to see castles. We were considering Bacharach, Germany, but we are open to suggestions. Thanks so much!

Bacharach would be a good base with kids. I would check out the hostel that is in an old castle on the hill there. You could spend one day on the Rhine seeing Rheinfells and another on the Mosel seeing Burg Eltz. I think both of these are good for kids.
