My husband and I will be taking the train from Munich to Frankfurt on Sept. 15 for a flight leaving Frankfurt at 10:15 on Sept. 16. I use a walker to get around. Where would you recommend that we spend the night of the 15 that is easy to access from the train station and that has good transportation to the airport. Thanks
If convenience is your only goal, the easiest is staying in the airport itself. The Sheraton and Marriott are closest to Terminal 1, and there is also a Hilton just a bit further near the long-distance train station.
In April we stayed at the Marriott and it was convenient and easy to get to our gate in the morning.
Last year, I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on the airport grounds. It is next to the long distance train tracks. It's also next to the Hilton Hotel.
It's all indoor walking from hotel to either the train station or the airport terminals.
The airport also offers special assistance for disabled passengers. You can check with them if they will meet you at the hotel. (They claim to assist people to the on airport hotels._
Thank you all so much. This is very helpful information.
Check to see that your ticket from Munich is going to the Frankfurt airport and not just the city of Frankfurt.
You already have the names of all of the hotels at the airport - Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton, Marriott/Sheraton.
We stayed at the Sheraton Sunday night. It was nice, reasonably priced, quiet and so close to the terminal
I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, which had the lowest price, and it was as exactly what I expected, plus had a Starbucks at the bottom of the escalator. I didn’t get the breakfast, but my travel partner said it was disappointing and overpriced. I got a savory pastry at the Rewe supermarket a little further on from Starbucks.
