Where to stay in Munich that can sleep 4?

My apologies as I know this question has been asked a million times. I have looked through old posts and searched recommended hotels but many do not accommodate 4 guest in a room.

My family of 4 (2 teenagers) are traveling to Munich in late June. We will not have a car and solely rely on public transportation. Based on my research, Old Town sounds like a great location for us (orr, close to Old Town). Or, maybe you think another location would be better? Does anyone have a hotel recommendation that can accommodate 4 guests? Our budget is around $300.

Thank you!

Hotel am Viktualienmarkt is very centrally located and has quad rooms. We have stayed there a few times and like it. The rooms are quite spacious and breakfast is included.

We stayed (3 of us) at Hotel Uhland near the oktoberfest grounds. Maybe 12 minutes or so to old town/train station. Lovely converted mansion with a great breakfast.

@mikliz97 I did check Hotel am Viktualienmarkt based on recommendations from this site. Sadly, they must be sold out of quads. :(

Hotel Schicker. Our fav in Munich. They have apartments and hotel rooms. It's a one minute walk to Marienplatz. Amazing breakfast. You can see all the room options on their website. You can also email them - they are super helpful. We stay here every other year when we go to the Xmas Markets.

@jules m I also looked at Hotel Uhland. The room states that it sleeps 4 with a king bed and a sofa. It does not state that the sofa is a pullout bed I can request a "roll away" bed for extra fee but it's not guaranteed. What set-up did you have for 3 people when you stayed there? Thank you!

Oh that's too bad! Another place that we absolutely loved was Hotel Lux. We had a triple room, but I am not sure if they can accommodate 4. I would email and ask.

@mikliz97 I look at Hotel Lux this morning. We would have to book 2 rooms. Thank you for your recommendations.

Look up around the University or the Messe (convention center). Those are right on the ubahn, and will be less expensive. The major issue you'll face is the fact that you're traveling in high season, and that's never cheap.

We found several excellent options on AirBnB. Our own choice was in the university district (near the Theresienstrasse U-bahn stop), and we found it to be extremely convenient.

If you can't find anything closer, we (sister and I, one 2-double bed room) stayed at the Munich Marriott Schwabing (while on Viking Danube cruise extension). Short walk to U-bahn and quick ride to Old Town. Hotel has indoor pool and casual on-site restaurant with American and German classics. Small grocery and bakery across the street. Great breakfast buffet. Pretty sure there were other restaurants in the neighborhood but we never made it back out after touring all day! Few dummy dates in June showed rates from 190-350 Euros. Good Luck!
