Where to spend 3 nights within 5-ish hours of Munich

Hi Fellow Travelers,

My husband and I will be in Munich early June for a work conference. Our anniversary is a few days prior to that. We are wanting to go 3-4 nights prior to the conference to spend somewhere for our anniversary.

We have been to Munich many times and have explored the area nearby. We have also done a couple of day trips (including Rothenberg) from Munich. We're not sure where we should spend a few extra days. We're thinking of staying in Switzerland, but really open to anywhere within a 5-6 hour drive at most. We have stayed in Grindelwald and Lucerne previously.

We want to be in a smaller village / area as opposed to a large, bustling city for these few days. We love light hiking, mountains and lakes.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We have a blank slate at this point.

Thank you in advance and looking forward to it!

Mountain towns which should be open in early summer: Kitzbuhel, or
one of many towns in the Dolomites (Cortina, Arabba, Corvara, Ortisei, etc.)

Slightly larger city with sightseeing: Salzburg

Train should be able to get you to Kitzbuhel or Salzburg. Might need a taxi
or shuttle from Bolzano for the Dolomites.

This may have been already explored by you, but Garmisch-Partenkirchen certainly has mountains, lakes, light hiking.
