Hi all,
My husband and I want to stay a week in Munich in early June. Any suggestions for particular neighborhoods to stay in? We like to walk in interesting areas, look at art, and see the main attractions. Staying near good transportation is also a must.

I would recommend one of the below mentioned quarters in Munich - opening the link you will find some info of what to expect:
Haidhausen specially the French Quarter
Maxvorstadt
Lehel
South-Schwabing
Glockenbach
In any of those quarters you will have public transportation - very easy to navigate. All of them are very walkable and you will find restaurants, cafés and great neighborhoods.
