We will be in Germany for 2 weeks and I'd like to pack lightly and do laundry midway through our trip. Problem is, we will be in small towns, staying in B&B's. Having our hotel launder a couple of things might be OK, but we want to wash everything. Any suggestions for actual laundromats?

I didn't need one the last time I was in Gengenbach but seemed to remember one on the corner of the little street that goes down to the station.
Google waschsalon Gengenbach and you get one in the near larger town of Offenburg but dig a little deeper and you can find

which may be the one I remember. I would suggest asking your B&B host for advice. There have been many B&Bs that I have stayed in who graciously did a load or two for either a smile or a few euros, or I am sure they would know of a reputable place.

You might look into booking an apartment instead of a hotel for your stay there. Like the Suhm place in Gengenbach-Reichenbach, Waschmaschinen are often available for guest use or installed in the apartment as vacationing German guests often stay for 1-2 weeks.
Ferienwohnung Suhm - 2 BR apt. for €42/night with washer (and no final cleaning fee upon departure.)
