What tickets do we need to buy in Advance in Nuremberg

My husband and I will be in Nuremberg March 30- April 1 before starting a river cruise. Do we need to buy advance tickets for the Nazi Rally Grounds temporary museum, Nuremberg Trial museum, Imperial Castle, or Germanic National museum? I would like to be flexible secondary to weather if possible.

I was in Germany in May of 2022 and went to all those places except the Imperial Castle, and did not purchase any advance tickets. And even so, I wouldn't think you would need to book ahead in late March/early April. Maybe in June or July, but not in the early spring.

We were there last September and didn't have problems. They were working on renovations on Zeppelin Field and couldn't climb up to the top. We have never needed to buy tickets ahead of the time to visit any of your selected places. Have a great time. Its one of our favorite German cities.

I was in Nuremberg in November as well as last year. You won't need to buy advanced tickets to any of those places.

I've been to all of those locations multiple times and never bought a ticket ahead of time. I'd pass on the documentation center temporary museum. I was there last June and wasn't impressed. And it's easy to get to Zeppelin Field, but it's also very run down. The signage is in terrible condition and has been for years. You used to be able to see the impression of the eagle above the speakers platform but even that's weathered away.

The castle can get crowded with school field trips on weekdays. The National Museum is excellent, and one of my favorites. FYI there's a good train museum, an excellent toy museum, and the Albrect Durer Haus, all right in the old city. (Okay, the railroad museum isn't, it's on the other side of the Bahnhof.)

Nuremberg is a fantastic city to walk at night. Everything get's lit up and, to me, it's the best time to see some of the places.

Went to Germany in March and the only tickets for attractions I pre booked were for The Reichstag tour in Berlin. Every else would be easy for same day tickets. Just bring layers and a raincoat with hood as it can get cold and wet.

As someone who was born in Nuremberg and lived there for a long time, I always wonder why so many people want to see it at all. They probably believe (and tourist guides unfortunately support this misconception) that they are standing in the place where Hitler gave his Reichstag speeches. But that's wrong, because the only part of the Zeppelin Field that was ever completed was the large tribune, the assembly point for the Wehrmacht, with whom Hitler did not have a good relationship and therefore he did not “honor” them with a speech. If you want to see the place where he really spoke (and where the Riefenstahl film was recorded) you have to cross Bayernstraße to the north and go into the Luitpoldhain. Today, however, taht is just a meadow, because the US Army kindly blew up all the Nazi junk there (and it's a pity they didn't do the same with the rest). As long as the documentation center is closed for renovation, it's simply not worth visiting. I would rather visit the hall where the war crimes trials took place, as there is also a decent documentation there that is much more educational than anything you can currently see out there at Dutzendteich.

When is the renovation work to the Documentation Center supposed to be completed? I thought it was going to be in 2025.
