My son recently went to Germany and while bought a SIM card from a local Vodafone store for 10 euro for a decent 1 month plan, he had to pay 35 euro to get it activated. I think he got ripped off.
Can someone suggest the most cost efficient way to buy a German SIM card? I've tried to buy an eSIM from Vodafone from Canada but they won't accept a Canadian address even though Canad is on their dropdown list of countries.
