What is the best way to buy a German Fall Pass

We need to get a twin pass, my husband and I are going to be in Germany from 09/27 to 10/22. I think the 15 day good over 30 days is what we'll need and possibly add a day or 2. AAA charges $35 service charge is there a better option,?

You normally have to go to a rail station to validate your rail pass even if you pre-purchase it. So why not buy it there in Germany, and get some genuine, professional assistance on how to use the pass? The DB Rail personnel in Germany can answer questions about the rules of use, how to fill out your pass day by day, etc. Read up on all that beforehand and have any questions ready when you go to the DB station ticket counter there. (AAA sells a million different products and by comparison will be spectacularly under-informed and much less helpful.)

So when you fly in, you can probably hit the station at your fly-in airport. Here's a list of all the stations in Germany that can sell you the GRP:

What is the best way to buy a German Fail Pass

There is just something deliciously subliminal about this question assuming we in fact have a typo!! :-)

The current 20% Summer/Fall discount offer won't work for you. It's only for passes purchased online through today and travel completed by September 30.

There is no one pass longer than 15 days within a month, so use it for your 15 longest, most expensive travel days and buy a ticket locally for any additional days, which will probably be by cheaper regional train.

Oops! Darn auto correct lol.
Thanks we're staying c!ose to the Zoo so if we don't get it at the airport looks like we can get it there. Do you know if it is cheaper?
Thanks
