Curious about what guide book is used for the GAS tour...I want to look at places ahead of my tour, but I don't see a combo book on the website. Does RS send a combo book before this tour, or do I need to buy a book for each country?

You might call or email the tour department to ask, they are helpful folks. The tour description says guide book(s) are included with the tour kit, so it could be one or more. Ahead of my past tours, I have checked out books from the library to look at before I received my official tour kit - even if older versions of guides, the essential sites don't change much. My library also has guide books from other companies that I use to get ideas too.

I just realized that I probably have a lot of the trip locals with the RS books I already own (quite a few of them!!) I just need to get a Germany book, which is no problem for me as I think Germany is just beautiful and would love to travel more throughout this country.
I can just pull out pages if I need to bring them along or wait until I see what comes in the tour kit.

RSE produces a tour book especially for their GAS itinerary, and it's not available for resale but made only available to those confirmed on upcoming (GAS) Tours. They send that book, along with money belt, etc, to participants about 3 months before tour commences.
