In exploring visiting the Reichstag it appears to be closed when we visit In October but the roof terrace is open.
"In addition, the dome is closed to visitors from 28 July to 1 August 2025, from 6 to 10 October 2025 and from 13 to 17 October 2025 to allow cleaning and maintenance work to be carried out. The roof terrace can still be visited when the dome is closed."
I am confused. i assume that we cannot walk the spiral access, but where is the roof terrace, on another building?

Basically, you will just take the elevator up to the roof terrace but will not be allowed access to the dome, which is seen separately.
Even if the dome is closed, I still recommend going the inside the Reichstag if a guided tour is available on your dates. It's very interesting.
