Visiting Museums in Berlin

Hello All,

We have purchased tickets to a few museums in Berlin and received the invoices and tickets via email. Do we need to print the tickets, or is it sufficient to save them on our phones to show at the entrance? Thank you!

The phone image is all you’ll need. The QR code is the thing that gets scanned

To be safe, maybe take a screen shot of the QR code just in case you have spotty internet that day.

There shouldn't be any spotty internet in Berlin, especially in the museum areas. And many QR codes cannot be read via a screenshot. It must be the original code, so you run a risk there as well.

I have downloaded the tickets and saved them on my phone. Would you suggest that I still print them out to be safe? Thank you!

Printing it off is a fail safe. May not be necessary but can certainly give you peace of mind.

Enjoy the wonderful museums! Berlin has some really good ones that we enjoyed in March 2023.

This is not at all accurate. A screenshot is the same visual information as displaying the original QR code. They are both just static pictures.

There is no need to print any physical thing. No need to carry around paper tickets.
