Visiting Eltz Castle, Koblenz, Germany

My family and I will be landing at Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer. dock on June 6, 2025 and I would like to take a bus to the Castle. I would like to know how often might the bus run and the time it might take to get to Castle?
Thanks

First you take the train to Hatzenport where you will pick up the 365 Bus to Burg Eltz. If you go to this site - https://www.vrs.de/en/drive/stop-information/information-on-stops/line-details/linie/de:vrs:3365 - you can download the Bus 365 schedule. Bus 365 is the bus you pick up in Hatzenport.

The 365 Bus will take you to the large parking area below Burg Eltz, and from there, you take the shuttle up to the castle. When I was there in 2022, the shuttle cost was 2€ but it could be higher now.

You might be able to get a better visual from the guide at the castle's website. The timetable is a lot clearer. :-)

The previous post starts you from Koblenz Hbf. But Konrad-Adenauer Ufer is a long walk from the Hbf train station Or a bus ride, Bus #1, usually.

Burg Eltz is not near Koblenz. This journey will require a minimum of 3 separate bus/train moves, starting with a bus from K-A Ufer, with 2 hours or so travel time in each direction. You can input K-A Ufer as your from-station and "Burg Eltz, Wierschem" as your to-destination at the DB search page to bear this out:

https://int.bahn.de/en/

Then, from the final bus stop, you can walk uphill to the castle or catch another castle-operated bus to a point near the entrance.

Marksburg, in the old-world wine town of Braubach, OTOH, is much closer and easier to reach. Bus #1 will take you directly fron K-A Ufer to Braubach in less than 1 hour (11:05 - 11:59, for example.) See DB once again to confirm. The bus stops at the Braubach train station; from the station it's a 25-minute uphill walk (or thereabouts) - Or get a taxi.

Like Eltz, Marksburg is a fully-intact, never-destroyed medieval castle, but with more medieval feel than Eltz. There is a cafe w/patio on the castle grounds. But there are also nice places for a meal in Braubach's old town; there are no dining options at Eltz other than the onsite food operation.

Marksburg typically has English-language tours at 1 pm and 4 pm. The link below has 3 pages of photos taken all around Braubach, including some of Marksburg.
