Already have posted this question on Tripadvisor and have some good feedback there. Anybody here have any PERSONAL experience only. Don't need advice on how to find these shops from people who have not done this, I have all of the shops already Googled in Deutsch. Just wondered if anyone has any insider knowledge/opinions/favorites.

ADAC is the main Germany cycling federation. They have a website link for various cycling products and services, including used bikes (Gebrauchte Fahrräder):

I think you mean the ADFC. Yes I have been to their site...actually have gotten 4 region specific maps from them (they are GREAT!). Their site is a great resource for trails/paths and bike friendly lodging as well.
Since my post I have found several shops in Hamburg...so far so good.
We will be riding (with our Jack Russell, Thor in his bike trailer) from Hamburg across Germany where we will pickup the via Claudia Augusta in Donauworth. From there we ride across part of Austria on the via Claudia and into Sud-Tirol, then on to Lake Garda and beyond. Can't wait!
