A couple of weeks ago I posted that after months of planning our 2 week trip to Europe ending in Germany for my parents to go back to Landsberg where they first lived 63 years ago, my mom wound up having emergency abdominal surgery to remove part of her colon that had twisted onto itself.
Thank God she is home recovering and although she is 82, she is in such good health that she is doing remarkably well. The doctors said she will be back to normal within 6 weeks and they gave us the go-ahead to rebook the trip for the middle to end of September. Benjamin, from Agoda/Priceline was SO amazing and worked magic over the course of many hours and several days to get the London and Paris Hotels with my non-cancellable/non-refundable/non-changeable tickets to, without any fees, to move our reservation forward 3 months. I had some additional fees to pay for the Eurostar, Trainline.eu and Eurowings Air, but overall, I got a 13 day trip moved in it's entirety from today when we were supposed to be leaving to September 18th. Everything in tact for my parents, just as planned, except now we may be able to get tickets to the Eiffel Tower and tour Buckingham Palace as two little extra perks.
I just want to thank EVERYONE for all of your support, well wishes and encouragement during this very difficult time. I have found this Forum to be more than just informational but very kind and supportive as well. Thank you!
