Hello! I am renting a car in brussels and driving to germany next week on May 24 2017, where can I obtain the umwelt palette need it in order to drive in certain places in germany? I called the rental car company in brussels and they do not provide the green sticker, if someone can advise me please.

Suggestions:
1. Turn the car in and travel to Germany by train and rent a car there, where they will all come with Umwelt Plaketten.
2. Do not drive into any major cities. Park out side and travel into the city with public transport.

Regrettably, that's not easy since the vendor must be authorized to check if your car qualifies for a green sticker. The usual procedure for foreign drivers is to buy online (after scanning and uploading the respective documents), which is obviously not possible with a rental car. I'd ask at the first filling station on the autobahn (probably Aachen-Lichtenbusch) if they sell it. Otherwise simply avoid Umweltzonen and take public transport - parking in the centers is expensive anyway.
