Hello, I am trying to buy tickets from Berlin to Prague on German Rail website, but when I try to reserve two seats, there is no chart with seat options - only able to reserve two seats on the train. Is this typical? I was able to reserve exact seats on the Austrian Rail with ticket purchase. Thanks Dee

For some seat reservations on German Rail, there is a seating chart, but Prague isn't in Germany, so maybe they can't do it on those trains(?). I think they will still try to give you seats next to each other if possible.

Thanks Lee. I finally figured it out that you can't reserve specific seats - just three seating options: open saloon, open saloon with a table, and compartment. Unfortunately the website doesn't show photos, but managed to find photos on other websites. We went ahead and bought tickets and reserved two seats in a compartment. Thanks again, Dee.
