Traveling to Munich with elderly father with mobility issues

Traveling to Munich in the next couple of weeks with elderly father. Father is not able to walk log distances, gets tired easily and is willing to us a wheelchair. We are looking at doing day trips on the train and wonder if we should bring a wheelchair with us or can we rent one when we arrive? Can we do uber with a wheelchair, public transport and trains?
Thanks,
Pam

Search for Sanitätshaus München and you'll see locations that rent medical equipment. Contact them directly for rental reservations.

All Munich U-Bahn stations have elevators although it can be difficult to find the entrance with the elevator at ground level. Major rail stations have elevators but smaller local ones probably won't. All trams and buses in Munich are low-floor. Trains may have bigger steps into the carriage, but if he can climb a couple of steps it should be OK.
