Traveling this summer with our 3 adult sons to Munich

Hello,
We are traveling this summer to Europe with our 3 adult sons. We will be spending 4 nights in Munich. We have had difficulty finding lodging during this time. We originally were going to stay in an apartment but the site was closed down by TripAdvisor due to fraud so we are a bit late in finding reservations. We have found accommodations at the Hotel Royal and Hotel Muenchner Kindl. I have found multiple reviews with pros and cons to both. I would be interested on a recent opinion on these two places. Thank you in advance!

Take a look on google streetview at the neighborhood. Muenchner Kindl looks much nicer. On the other hand, there is at least one strip club next to the Royal. Maybe your 3 adult sons will appreciate it. :)

I haven't stay at Royal, but I have stayed at Münchner Kindl. I was alright with the Kindl. The owners were friendly and helpful. It has an intimate bar on the first floor.

Münchner Kindl is inside the old town, less than two blocks from the pedestrian street that runs from Karlstor to Marienplatz. I think the neighborhood is a little nicer. There is a great bakery, pastry store, down the street towards Sendlingertor. I think it was called Werner's; it seems to have changed names, since.

However, be aware that it is multi-stories tall with no elevator. and breakfast is not included in the price; take that into account when comparing prices. The ensuite bathrooms were very small. I might take my chances with the etagende ones.

Hotel Royal is very nice, with comfortable rooms, helpful staff and a great breakfast. I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending it. The street outside the hotel is a bit "colourful" but that's not a problem.
