Traveling from Meyershotel in Berlin to Berlin Airport for Early Morning Departure

How easy is it to navigate the subway/bus system to get to the United Airlines Terminal to catch a 9:50 AM international flight? How much travel time to the airport should we allow?

Is a taxi or uber/lyft much more expensive and will it save us much time compared to subway/bus?

Also, we are novices when it comes to international flights and customs so how early should we arrive at the airport? We typically arrive between 90 minutes and two hours before our domestic.

Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Is the flight truly international, or does it involve a connection within the Schengen zone? For a flight to a connection point outside of Schengen, 3 hours is fairly standard. You have to go through Schenegen exit procedures in that case. If you are connecting within Schengen, you do that at your connecting airport.

On a week day, you can take the tram either to Prenzlauer Allee S-Bahn station or Alexanderplatz S-Bahn station. There are direct S-Bahns to the airport from these stations. Figure 1-hour of travel time. S-Bahns are every 20 minutes early in the morning and trams are every 10 minutes.

PS. Assume you are referring to Myer's Hotel on Metzer Strasse.

Your hotel has some information that may be useful:

From Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) take the Regional Train or S-Bahn to the hotel within 45 minutes.

Please use the BVG or S-Bahn information service. Your destination stop is Prenzlauer Allee / Metzer Straße.

The hotel is just a 2-minute walk away from the tram stop.

Ticket Prices: Single ticket for zones ABC: €5.00

(Taxi approximately €60-75 / 45 minutes)
