I am traveling to Munich in November 2016 and wonder about day trips
November weather can be iffy. One thing that is not too much affected is the sights in towns.
Augsburg. The gold rooms at the town hall, the cathedral and the Fuggerei are quite interesting.
Regensburg. It has a church for every day of the year. My favorites are the Dom (gothic cathedral), the Alte Kapelle (baroque) and St Emmeran's (romanesque). There are also some Roman ruins and the Medieval Haidplatz.
Landshut. A really attractive small town for its many baroque facades. With nice weather there is a good walk up to the castle with a view out over the St. Martin's church tower - the worlds tallest brick structure.
There is a lot more to see in each of these places. They are all nice places for walking about.
When during November? Mid November many Christmas Markets start.
We visited Dachau in November..some is outdoors and the museum is indoors, not many people there.
