Travel Plan - Starting from Frankfurt

Hey Folks,

I have a travel plan to Europe in this June and I am landing in Frankfurt. I have 11 days to roam around and I would like to get a travel plan for the same. My preferred places outside Germany are Prague, Amsterdam and Budapest. Is it possible to cover all these places within 11 days? Or I should make some tweaks on my destinations? I will be using Train and Bus to travel around. Please help me out guys.

Many thanks in advance
Cheers!!

With this wide a geographocal range and only 11 days, you will have to make some choices. Do you have your airline tickets yet? Can you fly open jaw? At best, I think you could do 2 out of 3, like Prague and Budapest, or Amsterdam and Prague.

You could also spend a nice 11 days covering Amsterdam, Cologne, the Rhine and Mosel valleys, and the Black Forest.
Or Amsterdam to Berlin to Prague, Or Prague to Budapest. If you try all three with Berlin, you really have to fly open jaw out of Budapest.

With this itinerary you'll spend half your day on trains, getting to your destinations instead of being there. Use this pan-European rail planner to see what's feasible within your limited time.

Thanks Sam, for those helpful comments. Yes I have already booked my flight tickets and I m flying back from Frankfurt itself.
If I choose Amsterdam and Prague over Budapest and Prague, would it be feasible? I have always been a fan of Amsterdam but people say Budapest is better. Prague is my first choice though :)

There are direct trains from Frankfurt airport to Amsterdam every 2 hours and it takes 3 hours and 45 minutes.
Amsterdam to Berlin is also a direct train every 2 hours that takes 6 1/2 hours.
Berlin to Prague is also a direct train every 2 hours and takes about 4 1/2 hours.
Prague back to Frankfurt requires a few connections. The fastest way is actually a bus to Nuremberg, then a train to Frankfurt. That takes about 7 1/4 hours. Another route is through Dresden taking a bit more than 8 hours.

It is more useful to think in terms of nights rather than days. So assuming 11 days is 10 nights:
Amsterdam 3 nights
Berlin 3 nights
Prague 3 nights
Frankfurt 1 night
Travel home.
3 nights gives you 2 full days in the city. Berlin deserves to be in the mix as it is on the way between Amsterdam and Prague, has a lot to offer re young vibe, culture, not very expensive compared to Amsterdam.

The useful hub is Frankfurt Hbf. A few years ago in June I did a day trip to Amsterdam r/t from Frankfurt Hbf. direct taking the ICE.

@ rthesh....Re the weather June is good temperature wise, ca 66 to 73F or so. June is normally nice in Prague and Berlin, Vienna, and Paris, presumably warmer in Budapest. ( I don't have evidence for BP since the three visits made there were always in May), haven't done it the summer yet. Most of my trip this year will cover the entire month of June.
