Travel in Germany before and on national elections day

To those living in Germany: I am considering a trip to Berlin in late September. The German national elections are scheduled for Sept. 24. On that Sunday, should I expect museum and other unusual closures? And should I expect more traffic and transportation issues right before the elections date? Thanks in advance to anyone who can address these questions.

Nothing closes on Election Day. It is a Sunday and stores will be closed of course, but that is it. There won't be traffic or transportation issues either. People vote in their neighborhood and probably walk there, not drive.
