We want to hike in the Almbach Gorge, There seem to be trains from Munich to Berchtesgaden Hbf. Is this the correct stop? I believe it may be the same stop to go to The Eagle's Nest. Our hope is to get there by 10 or 11 am, hike and then make our way to Salzburg, we need to be there by 4ish.
Does anyone know if the Berchtesgaden Hbf train station has lockers we can store our luggage in?

According to the website for the Bayerische Eisenbahngesellshaft, BEG), there are lockers at the Berchtesgaden Hbf, outside, on Gleis (platform) 1. Here is the station layout. The box with a suitcase in it is the symbol for lockers.
The Almbachklamm website says the bus stop for the Klamm is Kugelmühle, and the fastest way to get there is by bus from Salzburg Hbf, where there are plenty of lockers.
Unless you want to try to also see the Eagles Nest (not feasible in your time frame), skip Berchtesgaden and go the Salzburg Hbf.

Here is the schedule for bus RVO-840, which runs from Berchtesgaden to Salzburg Hbf via Kugelmühle. There is a connection leaving Kugelmühle at 15:29 (3:29 PM), getting to Salzburg Hbf at 16:04 (4:04 PM).
There might be some Salzburg city buses from Kugelmühle to Salzburg, but I kind of doubt it, since Kugelmühle is in Germany.
If you do all or part of the trip using a Bayern-Ticket, RVO-840 will be included.

Which is it? The Rick Steves Alpine tour begins in Salzburg, but there is nothing but an orientation (no dinner, no tour) that night. Nothing really starts before the next morning. They just say meet that evening so they can add a day to the "tour". Maybe you can arrange meet the guide later.
