Transportation from Nuremberg to Munich

I was wondering how I would get from Nuremberg Airport to GoEuro Train. Is this the best way to get to Munich? How much will this cost?

What is a GoEuro train? Trains are run by Deutsche Bahn (in general). There are frequent trains between Nuremberg and Munich, from ICE Sprinters to milk run make-every-stop trains. On average, there is a direct train every 30 minutes. To get to the train station, take the U-Bahn from the airport.

The cost of the trip will vary depending on how you book and what train you take. The fastest way is to take an ICE or IC express train, but this will be expensive if you buy a ticket on the day. You can get cheaper advance fares on www.bahn.com, but these are restricted to specific trains only, and if you miss it you need to buy another at full fare.

The most convenient choice is to buy a Bayern Ticket. This costs 25 euros (significant reductions if two or more people buy theirs together) and gives unlimited travel on all Bavarian public transport except long-distance trains for a whole day. You will need to make sure you get a Regional Express train from Nuremberg, but these are only about half an hour slower than the ICE. The Bayern Ticket will also cover your U-Bahn ride from Nuremberg airport to the central station, and any public transport you take in Munich later in the day. You will almost certainly be able to buy it from the ticket machines at the airport U-Bahn station, but you can buy them in advance online if you are really worried.

You have to be very careful, there are RE's going via Treuchtlingen that take 3 hours and more.
Make sure that you are taking the so called "Nürnberg München Express", which takes the same route as the ICE (compare travel times: the earliest one at 7:32 takes 1:28, the later ones leave every other hour at minute 10 starting from 9:10; they have a longer stop in Ingostadt and take 1:40 to 1:50).
