Trains from Munich or Frankfurt to Wittenburg

Hello, Could someone advise me on whether it's better to fly into Munich or Frankfurt before taking a train to Wittenburg? Also, in both of these airports, is it possible to board the train right in the airport? If not, how do we get to the train station? Thank you!

Frankfurt has a long distance train station right at the airport. In Munich, you have to take the S-Bahn to Munich Hbf, except for the hourly regional train to Regensburg. That is not very helpful going to Wittenberg.

However, looking at the schedule, you will still have to take the S-Bahn to Frankfurt Hbf for a direct train to Wittenberg. It is 4 hour train trip.

At Munich airport, also S-Bahn to Munich Hbf for a direct train to Wittenberg, but it is a 4 3/4 hour train trip.

So yes, both airports have train stations at the airport.

For Wittenberg it is probably better to fly in to Berlin if that is possible for you.

Two cities are cited above, Wittenburg, a city near Hamburg and Wittenberg, a city near Berlin, and most likely the city of interest.
