Trainline App for Train

I have purchased one tickets, going on to the next one....probably should have asked earlier. It seems to be easier to book than the OBB site. Anyone had experience with the app?

I've used Trainline for purchasing tickets in Spain, Italy, and Germany. Never had a problem.

I would use the app for the train system you’re using, when possible. I’ve used Trainline for train tickets in Spain because there are often issues with the Spanish systems accepting US credit cards. Trainline tickets are often a bit more expensive.

For Germany, the DB Navigator app is the official app. It’s also useful for seeing schedules all over Europe. Always compare prices to the various apps. We found the same exact trains advertised on SNCF (French system) for higher prices than DB. The trains were traveling between Germany and France.

Trainline tickets do have an extra surcharge on them, but sometimes I've found navigating the various national rail websites (DB, Renfe, etc) to be frustrating. If you don't mind paying a little extra, it's well worth it. And yes, it does avoid issues with cc payment, etc.

We are traveling between countries-Austria, Germany, Switzerland and France. I think that is what is making this harder, that I can't just use one. I have been cross-referencing prices for sure. So far, close to the same.

I also use Trainline a lot of the time. They add a nominal fee (often times under €1), but for me it's nice to have all of the train tickets in one app!
