We are traveling by train in Europe next month. I am trying to find a train from Heidelberg to Rothenburg on Sunday, April 24 and the RailEurope website says it cannot find any results. Same thing when I try Rothenburg to Fussen on the same day. Is this because it's a Sunday? There's no train between those two cities? I'm looking too far in advance? Same thing happens when I search a train from Fussen to Lyon, France two days later. Help!!
How to Look Up Train Schedules and Routes Online gives you the recommended DB train schedule link and tips for using it. Schedules are fully published through June 11 and many later. Sunday train schedules are similar to weekdays. (Rail Europe is a ticket-sales shopping cart, not a complete schedule, and doesn't do well with more than one train connection.)
Try this link to the Deutsche Bahn website: http://www.deutschebahn.com/en/start-en.html
Don't forget that April 24 is 04-24-2016.
Post edited to remove non-working links.
Do not, repeat, do not use the RailEurope website to find train schedules. RailEurope only sells tickets for connections they want to sell you, and that is a fraction of the connections actually out there, usually the most expensive. The trip from Heidelberg requires at least 3 changes of trains, and RaiEurope does not do changes very well. Sonetimes you have to break up the trip into segments. Use the Bahn schedule webpage. There is also a webpage on the Eurail website. I've found the Eurail site to be pretty complete and accurate.
The Bahn website tries to accommodate a variety of inputs. Füssen and Füssen Bahnhof are the same place, and you don't even have to spell it correctly. Fussen will work. The pulldown will give you some other choices; most are bus stops. Same with Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Rothenburg ob der Tauber Bahnhof.

In the US, but for the Bahn website it is 24.04.16. But if you use the calendar, it will fill it in correctly for you.
