I've searched bahn.de, cd.cz and even trainline and all I come up with are trains to Nurnberg and then a 3 1/2 hr. bus to Praha Hl.n
Am I reading the schedules correctly? Is this my only option?
DB wants to get you there the fastest and most efficient way and that is it. You can go slower ways with a lot more changes. One way, is in the "Further Options" button, then click on "Add stopover" and then put in "Cheb" and you will get all train route that way. Takes longer and has more connections. You can also try "Furth im Wald" for a more southerly route.
Looks right, unless you want to take a train from Nuremberg at 17:43, into Prague at 22:31 with a change in Schwandorf.
Otherwise, the direct buses may be quicker and easier. FYI, FlixBus runs this route also. (from Nuremberg) You may find it cheaper to book Rothernburg ob der Tauber to Nuremberg separately.
Thanks for the help. I was able to book travelling by train only, by going through Cheb. It will take longer and cost a little more but it will work just great. Love this forum and how willing everyone is to jump in an assist!
I don't blame you. I'm not crazy about long bus rides myself and love trains.
