I am traveling with 5 others from Milan to Munich. Don't plan on any stopovers on the way. Scenic rout preferred
You would want to book your tickets thru the Deutche Bahn website. You dont say when you would be travelling, but it appears there are 2 choices- either through Verona, or Lugano and Zurich, with train changes at those stations.
We are traveling in early July and would prefer not to go thru Zurich. Also. Are train transfers difficult to navigate?
The Man in Seat 61 always has the answers when it comes to train travel. Here is what he has to say on Milan to Munich:

No, they are easy. At Verona Port Nuova, you will go down to ground level, walk to your new platform sign and up to the platform. It should only take a few minutes. It looks like it will be anywhere from 1/2 to 1 1/2 hours change time, so perhaps time to stop at a coffee shop.
