Has anyone taken the train from Berlin to Paris? Trying to decide between frying and train for our trip in 2027.
The new direct train is popular but takes 8 hours. There are other options with a connection, less ideal given the state of German intercity railways.
If you have the time, it's totally fine to take the train, but it would basically be a travel day. I've only taken the train on the Frankfurt-Paris leg and it's definitely the best way to travel between these two cities for me.
Thank you.
The train has shown to be quite popular, with about 80% of passengers boarding traveling the whole way. DB/SNCF plan on introducing a second pair.
So yes, lots of people take that train :-)
I would certainly take it too. If you fly its going to be a travel day too.
