Train - Frankfurt Germany Inquiry

Is the train station in Terminal 1 at the Frankfurt Airport accessible to the public? I'm staying at a hotel really close to the airport and it would be great if I could access the airport train terminal. I'm hoping to buy train tickets in advance.

Such a quick response, I really appreciate you answering! That actually would make sense now that I think about it, but it feels nice to have it confirmed. Thanks.

There are 2 train stations at the airport and both of them are accessible to the public.
the Long Distance station located next to Terminal 1, under the Squaire and the hotels Hilton Garden Inn and the Hilton, plus the Marriott Sheraton.
the Regional Train station which is underneath Terminal 1 and accessible from outside where the taxis drop off or any of the arrival gates, A-C and Z. Regional trains and S-bahns stop here.

There are no hotels that I know of that are within walking distance of the airport except for those as mentioned by the Long Distance station.

Which hotel are you in?

Thank you for the additional information. The hotel I'm staying at has a airport shuttle, or I would take the bus to the airport train station since it is the closest. I just mostly wanted to make sure the train was available without going through security/airport check in, which it is, so that's great.

@Ms. Jo, I consider the many hotels in Gateway Gardens to be within walking distance to Terminal 2. I fly American Airlines out of Termianl 2 and often stay there, walk and see others doing the same. At most 10-15 minutes. Then, of course, you can get the link to Terminal 1 if needed. You can also jump on S-Bahn in Gatway Gardens and there are taxis and shuttles as well.

I'm an advocate for spending a final night at the airport or Gateway Gardens when flying out of FRA in the AM. You can enjoy a quiet dinner out there or a final vist to Frankfurt with a little more time to sleep in. BTW, hate it when fellow travelers disrespect Frankfurt. I rather enjoy a day there on each end of a trip when I fly via FRA.
