I am planning a summer trip to Munich. We are going to go to Fussen for 2 days; however when I look to book a "hypothetical" trip to gauge time the train details state for me to be certain I have enough time to make the connection in Buchloe which is approximately 6 minutes. My question is if I miss the connection in Buchloe can I pick up another train headed to Fussen?
This trip uses regional trains (RB, BRB) only. There are trips with connections like yours which provide short layovers... and there are also direct trains at other times which you might choose instead to avoid the change of train.
Anyway, if you miss a connection you can ALWAYS catch a later train from Buchloe to Füssen because you are riding regional trains. Your ticket will not be tied to any specified travel time.
"Booking" these trains is neither necessary nor possible. It's a casual approach. Buy a ticket on the day of travel and climb aboard.
Thanks for the help!
