Train connection

I have a train connection in Dusseldorf. My train arrives at Dusseldorf Hbf platform 17 at 1201; my connection is at Dusseldorf Hbf ZOB at 1215. Despite my best efforts I have not been able to find a map of the train station to see if this would be doable with my 82 yo mom. I do see that there may be assistance for persons with disabilities. Possibly with wheelchair? Has anyone made this connection?

ZOB is the abbreviation for the bus station. So, you'll be changing from a train to a bus. I don't know that station, so I don't know how far apart the buses and trains are. If you post where you're coming from and going to, others can tell you how long you should allow for the connection.

Here is the Bahn page with information in the Düsseldorf Hbf. You can download (herunterladen) the station plan (Lageplan) using the PDF link at the bottom of the page.

Platform 17 is near the far end of the station away from the main exit (Ausgang) to the bus platforms, so it will be a bit of a walk. It looks like there are escalators from the platform to the main passage; then it is flat from there to the exit.

According to Google maps, there are bus stops about 2/10 of a mile to the right leaving the station exit.

Where are you going on the bus?

Thank you for your reply. I did not realize it was a bus; just as they have air buses; I was under the impression this was a type of train. Believe I need to rethink this!
Our plans are to do the Rick Steves Rhine Blitz Tour by Train starting in Bacharach, then on to Brussels. The trains I found were from Bacharach to Koln. When I request train from Koln to Brussels this is where I get the transfer in Dusseldorf.
Thank you for your help!

That doesn't sound right. Köln (Cologne) to Brussels is a direct High Speed train. Takes 1 hour 52 minutes and prices start at €39 and the route doesn't go through Düsseldorf. I just looked it up at www.bahn.de
I think you did something wrong.

It you actually want to get from Bacharach to Brussels, this is what you should look up. It will then tell you where you need to change (usually Köln). You do not need to second-guess these railway timetables site, they will find the best connections.

I don't know how you found it, but .... there is a Bahn IC Bus that goes from Düsseldorf to Brussels via Roermond. You can download the flyer for this bus (including the location of the bus stop in Düsseldorf) by clicking a link near the bottom of this page.

You can purchase a ticket starting in Bacharach and going direct from Koblenz to Düsseldorf on an IC, then the bus to Brussels. With advance purchase, non-refundable, non-exchangeable Savings Fare tickets start at 19€.
