train Berlin to Prague

Friends, I am having difficulty understanding how to buy a way ticket for a train from Berlin to Prague in May. I am using the DB website and it is still unclear to me. I have read the man and seat 61 website a couple of times and other sources and it is still confusing. any advice?

What is unclear? What problems are you having?

I pull up the site, switch it to "English", type in Berlin, there are lots of stations, first all the airport stops, then the Berlin stations, you likely want Berlin Hbf, the main station. Then Select your destination, Note that the name of Prague in the system is Praha, if you select the all caps version PRAHA, it works as "all station in Prague".

Put in your date, number of passengers, and there you go, I see direct tickets, for 25 to 35 euro, second class for late May. Trains leaving about every 2 hours.

Purchasing beyond that has it's ups and downs, I did just buy tickets, Koblenz to Leiden for May.

There are ECs from Berlin Hbf to Prague every two hours. They stop once leaving Berlin at Südkreuz. If you just type in from "Berlin", it will give you about 9 choices of starting stations. Some will show a connection including local transport to the Hbf or Südkreuz. If you start at the airport, it will probably give you a connection by IC to Dresden where you would get the EC.

The EC stop again three time near Dresden (Neustadt, Hbf, and Bad Schandau) then enters the Czech Republic.

The software also recognizes "Prag" which is the German spelling.
