Looking for recommendations for hard copy tourist maps of Munich. Readability, compactness, tourist sites and mass transportation routes are key factors. For planning purposes and negotiating city while there. Thank you for your help

These Streetwise maps are laminated and sturdy. Right here on the RS site: city streetwise maps I dont recall if all the bus routes are on it.

The bookstore at Munich Central Station (Dussmann) has various formats. My favorite is "Der Kleine Münchner", which measures only 4x3.2" (just measured) and fits in every jacket pocket.

Thank you stan, sla019, and periscope. @stan - I saw the Streetwise map on Amazon and was hoping they (Amazon) would give me a "sneak peak" as they do with books. I might get one of these if you think it meets all of my stated criteria. @peirscope - that's a beautiful map of Munich. I'll try contacting the Munich tourist office to see if they can send me one.@sla019 - I'll try contacting Dussmann to see about the possibility of purchasing one of these maps. Thank you to all. You can get a map from the tourist information booth at the airport, or if you are going by train just get one at the bookstore in the Bahnhof. Frankly i prefer just using Waze or Google maps on my phone and looking up attractions and dropping a pin on the ones that interest me.

Thank you, KGC. I like combination of hard copy and google maps for negotiating cities and hard copy for planning. I did hear of the good bookstore by the train station (Dussmann). Commenter (sla019) on this thread mentioned it to me. Thanks again for your reply.
