Tour add ons options with Neuschwanstein Castle for a full day tour

Hello, we are staying at a home about 40 minutes from Neuschwanstein Castle, can anyone recommend any other activities and places to go after our tour of Neuschwanstein Castle. From what I have read, 3 hrs should be more than sufficient to see Neuschwanstein Castle. We have another 4 hours with our tour guide. We are only in Munich for 2 full days, what other sites should we see besides Neuschwanstein Castle & Munich? We are planning on doing Neuschwanstein Castle on Day 1 & Munich on Day 2.

We wanted to do Rothenburg but it is too far to do Rothenburg and Neuschwanstein Castle in a day. Looking for other options around the castle to visit along with Neuschwanstein Castle.

My suggestion would be near Reutte, Austria for the Highline 179 and the ruins of Ehrenberg Castle. .https://www.highline179.tirol/en/activity You are also close to Linderhof Palace, which IMO was a much better experience than Neuschwanstein (which we felt was highly overrated and not worth the time)

I second the Wieskirche. It isn't too far from Neuschwanstein and it won't take you very long. It is mind boggling how beautiful the church is. I like Oberammergau too, a cute little town to poke around in.
